Pattaya Comes Alive! LOMA RUN ON THE BEACH 2026 Brings Together Over 3,000 Runners and Visitors for a Seaside Charity Run Supporting Underprivileged Children

Pattaya, Thailand September 20th, 2026 Pattaya came alive early Sunday morning as more than 3,000 runners, supporters, and tourists gathered at Dongtan Beach, Jomtien, for the “LOMA RUN ON THE BEACH 2026”, a charity walk-and-run event aimed at promoting health and tourism while raising funds to support underprivileged children through the HHN Foundation for Thai Children (HHN).

At 5:30 a.m., Mr. Kritsana Boonsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, together with Mr. Sitthichai At-song, Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization Member; Mr. Wuttithorn Saengurai, Member of Pattaya City Council; Mr. Aekkapraphu Aekasing, Assistant Secretary to the President of the Pattaya City Council; HHNFT Director Radchada Chomjinda; Khun Siromes Akrapongpanich, Deputy Director of the Human Help Network Foundation Thailand; as well as Pattaya City officials, Pattaya Police, Tourist Police and other relevant agencies, officially opened the charity race at Dongtan Beach.

The event attracted more than 2,500 registered runners, while supporters and tourists brought total participation to more than 3,000 people. The event was also expected to generate more than 15 million baht in economic activity for the local area.

The race featured two distances: a 5-kilometer Fun Run, with approximately 1,150 participants, and a 10-kilometer Mini Marathon, with approximately 1,350 participants. Dongtan Lawn served as the Start/Finish area, providing runners with a scenic seaside route through key tourist areas of Pattaya.

Beyond promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among residents and visitors, the event also contributed to tourism and the local economy, particularly benefiting hotels, restaurants, shops, transportation providers, and other tourism-related businesses.

The event supports Pattaya’s vision as a “Sport City” by using sporting events to attract athletes, supporters, and tourists while encouraging them to spend time and engage with the city.

The 10-kilometer race started at 5:45 a.m., followed by the 5-kilometer race at 6:00 a.m. Traffic management measures were implemented throughout the event, including a temporary closure of the Dongtan Beach restricted zone from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Certain sections of the route remained open to shared traffic, with officials stationed along the course to facilitate traffic flow and ensure the safety of participants.

A key highlight of LOMA RUN ON THE BEACH 2026 was its connection between sport and social opportunity. After expenses, proceeds from the event will support Human Help Network Foundation Thailand which has worked to protect and support children and young people in the Pattaya area for more than 15 years.

HHN’s programs include Child Protection and Development Center (CPDC), Drop-in Center, HHN Learning Center, scholarship programs and assistance for families facing difficult circumstances. Currently, more than 300 children are supported and cared for through the foundation’s various programs.

Funds raised through this event will contribute to educational scholarships, facility development and essential expenses for the care and well-being of underprivileged children, helping improve their quality of life and create greater opportunities for their future.

LOMA RUN ON THE BEACH 2026 demonstrates how a major sporting event can create more than excitement in a tourism destination. It transforms the collective energy of thousands of runners into meaningful opportunities for education, development, and a better future for children and young people in society.
