Cultural Splash by the Sea: The Charm of Songkran” preserving Thai traditions on the beach while elevating Songkran to a global tourism destination
April 18th, 2026 Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, presided over the opening of the event “Cultural Splash by the Sea: The Charm of Songkran Pattaya Songkran Festival Cultural Splash @ Pattaya” at Pattaya Central Beach. The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Chonburi, the President of the Pattaya Cultural Council, members of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization, government agencies, cultural networks, and members of the media, all contributing to a lively atmosphere.
This event is organized by the Chonburi Provincial Cultural Council in collaboration with the Chonburi Provincial Cultural Office and cultural council networks at all levels. It runs from April 17–19, 2026, at Pattaya Central Beach, aiming to promote, preserve, and showcase the richness of Thai cultural traditions during the Songkran festival. It is also held in loyal tribute and remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, in recognition of her profound contributions to Thailand, especially in the field of arts and culture.
The event also aims to elevate Thai traditions into a major international tourism highlight, while providing a platform for local communities to express their cultural identity through creative activities and innovations, in line with the concept of cultural sustainability.
Activities at the event include the ceremonial bathing of sacred Buddha relics and revered Buddha images from all four regions of Thailand, including important Buddha images from temples across all 11 districts of Chonburi Province, bringing auspicious blessings for the Thai New Year.
There are also cultural market zones and the “Charming Pattaya Street Vendors” zone, featuring over 100 cultural vendors. Celebrities and actors participate by selling food, alongside cultural demonstrations and workshops where visitors can learn and taste traditional offerings.
Additionally, the event features photo check-in points, dazzling light tunnels and illuminated fields, and interactive activity zones such as traditional target games (including slingshot shooting and vintage-style shooting games), as well as fun activities like the “dunk tank.” Visitors can also enjoy traditional Thai games, folk dances, Khon masked performances, Engkor performances, Muay Thai shows, and traditional sword dance performances.
The festivities conclude each day with concerts and EDM music performances by well-known artists.
The “Cultural Splash by the Sea: The Charm of Songkran – Pattaya Songkran Festival Cultural Splash @ Pattaya” is open to the public free of charge throughout the event, which continues until April 19th, 2026, celebrating Thai Songkran traditions while promoting Pattaya as a world-class cultural tourism destination.

18 เมษายน 2569 นายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา ร่วมเปิดงาน “สาดศิลป์ ริมทะเล เสน่ห์สงกรานต์ เมืองพัทยา Songkran Festival Cultural Splash @ Pattaya” ณ บริเวณชายหาดพัทยากลาง Pattaya Beach โดยมีรองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดชลบุรี ประธานสภาวัฒนธรรมเมืองพัทยา สมาชิกสภาองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดชลบุรี หน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคีเครือข่ายทางวัฒนธรรม และสื่อมวลชน เข้าร่วมงานอย่างคึกคัก
การจัดงานครั้งนี้ดำเนินการโดยสภาวัฒนธรรมจังหวัดชลบุรี ร่วมกับสำนักงานวัฒนธรรมจังหวัดชลบุรี และเครือข่ายสภาวัฒนธรรมทุกระดับ กำหนดจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 17–19 เมษายน 2569 ณ ชายหาดพัทยากลาง Pattaya Beach เพื่อส่งเสริม อนุรักษ์ และเผยแพร่คุณค่าอันดีงามของวัฒนธรรมประเพณีไทยในช่วงเทศกาลสงกรานต์ และเพื่อเป็นการแสดงความจงรักภักดี และน้อมรำลึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ที่ทรงมีพระมหากรุณาธิคุณอันล้นพ้นต่อประเทศชาติ โดยเฉพาะด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมของไทย
พร้อมกันนี้ยังมุ่งยกระดับประเพณีไทยให้เป็นหมุดหมายสำคัญด้านการท่องเที่ยวระดับนานาชาติ รวมทั้งเปิดพื้นที่ให้ชุมชนได้แสดงอัตลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมผ่านกิจกรรมสร้างสรรค์และนวัตกรรมใหม่ ควบคู่แนวคิดวัฒนธรรมเพื่อความยั่งยืน
ภายในงานมีกิจกรรมทางวัฒนธรรมที่หลากหลาย อาทิ พิธีสรงน้ำพระบรมสารีริกธาตุ และพระพุทธรูปศักดิ์สิทธิ์จาก 4 ภาค รวมถึงพระพุทธรูปคู่บ้านคู่เมืองจากวัดสำคัญทั้ง 11 อำเภอของจังหวัดชลบุรี เพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลเนื่องในวันขึ้นปีใหม่ไทย นอกจากนี้ยังมีโซนตลาดวัฒนธรรม และโซน “หาบเร่เสน่ห์พัทยา” ที่รวบรวมร้านค้าทางวัฒนธรรมกว่า 100 ร้านค้า พร้อมดารานักแสดงร่วมออกร้านจำหน่ายอาหาร และกิจกรรมสาธิตวัฒนธรรม พร้อมเวิร์กช็อปให้ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวได้ร่วมเรียนรู้และทดลองชิม
ขณะเดียวกันยังมีจุดเช็กอินถ่ายภาพ อุโมงค์ไฟและทุ่งไฟสุดตระการตา โซนลานประลองความสามารถ “ลานประลองนักแม่นเป้า” เช่น ยิงหนังสติ๊กโบราณ ยิงปืนจุกน้ำปลา และกิจกรรมสาวน้อยตกน้ำ รวมถึงลานละเล่นพื้นบ้านไทย และการแสดงศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทย อาทิ รำวงพื้นบ้าน การละเล่นพื้นบ้าน การแสดงโขน เอ็งกอ การแสดงมวยไทย และรำดาบคู่ ก่อนปิดท้ายความสนุกด้วยคอนเสิร์ตและการแสดงดนตรี EDM จากศิลปินชื่อดัง
ทั้งนี้ งาน “สาดศิลป์ ริมทะเล เสน่ห์สงกรานต์ เมืองพัทยา Songkran Festival Cultural Splash @ Pattaya” เปิดให้ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวเข้าร่วมงานฟรีตลอดกิจกรรม โดยยังคงจัดต่อเนื่องจนถึงวันที่ 19 เมษายน 2569 เพื่อร่วมสืบสานประเพณีสงกรานต์ไทย พร้อมส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์เมืองพัทยาให้เป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมระดับโลก
