เมืองพัทยาเปิดศูนย์กำจัดขยะมูลฝอยครบวงจรบนเกาะล้านอย่างเป็นทางการ มุ่งแก้ปัญหาขยะสะสม สู่การท่องเที่ยวสีเขียวอย่างยั่งยืน
10 เม.ย.69 เวลา 10.00 น. นายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา เป็นประธานเปิดศูนย์กำจัดขยะมูลฝอยชุมชนด้วยวิธีการเผาทำลายบนพื้นที่เกาะล้านแบบครบวงจรเมืองพัทยา จังหวัดชลบุรี อย่างเป็นทางการ โดยมีนายมาโนช หนองใหญ่ และนายดำรงค์เกียรติ พินิจการ รองนายกเมืองพัทยา ทีมเลขานุการนายกเมืองพัทยา รองประธานสภาเมืองพัทยา สมาชิกสภาเมืองพัทยา เขต 3 ผู้ช่วยเลขานุการประธานสภาเมืองพัทยา รองปลัดเมืองพัทยา พร้อมคณะกรรมการชุมชนเกาะล้าน เข้าร่วม ซึ่งมีนายวสุ กลมเกลี้ยง ประธานกรรมการบริษัท สมาร์ท เวสท์ เมนเนจเมนท์ จํากัด เป็นผู้กล่าวรายงาน ณ ศูนย์กำจัดขยะมูลฝอยชุมชนด้วยวิธีการเผาทำลายบนพื้นที่เกาะล้านแบบครบวงจรเมืองพัทยา จังหวัดชลบุรี
นายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา ได้เน้นย้ำถึงปัญหาขยะมูลฝอยบนเกาะล้านว่าเป็นประเด็นเร่งด่วนที่เมืองพัทยาให้ความสำคัญมาโดยตลอด จากข้อมูลพบว่าเกาะล้านมีขยะสะสมตกค้างกว่า 150,000 ตัน และมีขยะเกิดขึ้นใหม่ถึง 25 ตันต่อวัน ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบอย่างรุนแรงต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม สุขอนามัย และภาพลักษณ์การท่องเที่ยวของเกาะล้าน เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหานี้ เมืองพัทยาจึงได้ดำเนินงานให้สอดคล้องกับแผนแม่บทการบริหารจัดการขยะมูลฝอยของประเทศ และแผนปฏิบัติการ “จังหวัดสะอาด” โดยได้ศึกษาและออกแบบแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาที่เหมาะสมกับสภาพพื้นที่เฉพาะของเกาะล้าน (Stand Alone) จนนำไปสู่การก่อสร้างศูนย์กำจัดขยะมูลฝอยชุมชนแบบครบวงจรแห่งนี้ ซึ่งหัวใจสำคัญคือการมุ่งเน้นการกำจัดขยะอย่างยั่งยืน ด้วยการนำเทคโนโลยีเตาเผาที่ทันสมัยมาใช้ สามารถรองรับการกำจัดขยะได้สูงสุดถึง 50 ตันต่อวัน ควบคู่ไปกับการรักษามาตรฐานสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างเคร่งครัด โดยดำเนินการภายใต้หลักวิชาการและกฎหมายที่เกี่ยวข้อง ทั้งระบบเผาทำลาย อาคารประกอบ และระบบฝังกลบเถ้า เพื่อป้องกันผลกระทบต่อชุมชน
นอกจากนี้โครงการยังส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและเอกชน โดยเป็นการลงทุนในรูปแบบ BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) ซึ่งบริษัท สมาร์ท เวสท์ เมเนจเมนท์ จำกัด จะเป็นผู้ดำเนินการเป็นระยะเวลา 25 ปี เพื่อให้การบริหารจัดการมีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด
Pattaya officially opens an integrated municipal waste management center on Koh Larn, aiming to solve accumulated waste problems and promote sustainable green tourism
On April 10th, 2026, at 10:00 AM, Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, presided over the official opening ceremony of the integrated municipal solid waste incineration center on Koh Larn, Pattaya City, Chonburi Province. The event was attended by Mr. Manoch Nongyai and Mr. Damrongkiat Pinijkarn, Deputy Mayors of Pattaya, along with members of the mayor’s secretariat team, the Vice President of the Pattaya City Council, Pattaya City Council members of District 3, assistant secretary to the council president, deputy city clerks, and the Koh Larn community committee. Mr. Wasu Klomkliang, Chairman of Smart Waste Management Co., Ltd., delivered the project report at the venue.
Mr. Poramet emphasized that the issue of municipal waste on Koh Larn has long been an urgent priority for Pattaya City. Data shows that the island has accumulated over 150,000 tons of waste, with an additional 25 tons generated. This situation has severely impacted the environment, public health, and the island’s tourism image. To address this problem, Pattaya City has aligned its efforts with the national solid waste management master plan and the “Clean Province” action plan. A tailored solution was studied and designed specifically for Koh Larn’s conditions (stand-alone system), leading to the construction of this integrated waste management facility. The core of the project focuses on sustainable waste disposal through the use of advanced incineration technology, capable of handling up to 50 tons of waste per day. At the same time, strict environmental standards are maintained. The project operates under academic principles and relevant laws, covering incineration systems, supporting infrastructure, and ash landfill systems to prevent impacts on the local community.
In addition, the project promotes public-private partnership through a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) investment model. Smart Waste Management Co., Ltd. will operate the facility for 25 years to ensure maximum efficiency in waste management.
