“Pattaya International Kite on the Beach 2026” Soars Over Pattaya Beach, Feb 25 – Mar 1
February 25th 2026 at 3:00, Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya, assigned Mr. Siwat Boonkerd, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City, to preside over the opening ceremony of the “Pattaya International Kite on the Beach 2026.” The event report was delivered by Mr. Jettapat Charoenpipatkul, Assistant General Manager of Central Marina Outlet.
Also in attendance were Mr. Peerapong Sampru, Deputy District Chief of Bang Lamung; Ms. Panrada Attohi, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City; Mr. Chaiwat Tamtai, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Office; Mr. Worakitti Navasakulkiat, Founder of Thaitan Kite Team Thailand; representatives from the Marine Department Regional Office (Pattaya Branch); the Director of the Tourism Development Division; and other related agencies. The atmosphere was lively, with both Thai and international tourists gathering at Pattaya Beach, in front of Central Pattaya.
Pattaya City, in collaboration with Central Pattana, the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Office, the Pattaya City Business and Tourism Association, the Marine Department, and Thaitan Kite Team Thailand (the “Smiling Giant” Thai giant kite team), is organizing the “Pattaya International Kite on the Beach 2026” under the concept “Sky Paradise of Happiness.” The festival runs from February 25 to March 1, 2026, along Pattaya Beach in front of Central Pattaya.
Unmissable Highlights!
For the first time in Thailand, the festival features a spectacular gathering of branded character kites, led by MR. SUN, the 12-meter mascot of Central Pattaya; the adorable “Little Squid Krub” kite; the Flamingo kite by Goodter; the 3-meter-plus “WATT-D” kite by PEA; and more than 150 international kites from 12 countries, stretching over 1 kilometer along Pattaya Beach.
Every day at 4:00 PM, enjoy thrilling Sport Kite performances by professional teams from Taiwan and the United States. On the Central Pattaya side, visitors can join MR. SUN character kite painting workshops, explore over 30 street food vendors, and take advantage of special shopping promotions and family-friendly dining options—creating a vibrant seaside festival atmosphere throughout the event.
