The Mayor of Pattaya Opens the 17th “Walk & Eat in Na Kluea” Festival to Boost Community Tourism and Preserve Local Culinary Identity
On the evening of December 20th 2025, Mr. Poramase Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya, presided over the opening ceremony of the 17th “Walk & Eat in Na Kluea” festival. The event was organized to promote cultural tourism, stimulate the local community economy, and preserve the traditional way of life of Na Kluea’s salt-farming community.
The ceremony was attended by Pattaya City executives, including the Deputy Mayors, the Chairman of the Pattaya City Council, the Chairman of the Advisory Board, Assistant Secretaries, and Pattaya City Council members, along with the Bang Lamung District Chief, representatives from the Ministry of Culture, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (Pattaya Office), community leaders, and a large number of local residents and visitors.
The event took place in front of the Government Savings Bank, Bang Lamung Branch, Chonburi Province. Inside the venue, a wide range of activities were featured, such as booths selling traditional local dishes, fresh seafood from the community, demonstrations of local wisdom, cultural performances, and a food-walking route throughout the community. These activities created a lively and warm atmosphere for both participants and tourists.
The Mayor of Pattaya stated, “The ‘Walk & Eat in Na Kluea’ event today is not just a street of delicious food, but a street of art and community identity. We blend street art with everyday life so that every road tells a story, is full of color, and inspires people.”
He added that Pattaya is not only a tourist city, but also a city of contemporary culture. The street art and craft activities showcased at the event represent an important step in urban development—one that respects cultural roots while embracing new ideas. He expressed hope that the “Walk & Eat in Na Kluea” festival will continue to be a space where people can enjoy great food, feel fulfilled at heart, and witness how art and community can grow beautifully together.
นายกเมืองพัทยาเปิดงาน “เดินกินถิ่นนาเกลือ” ปีที่ 17 กระตุ้นท่องเที่ยวชุมชน สืบสานอัตลักษณ์อาหารพื้นถิ่น
ช่วงค่ำ(20 ธ.ค.2568) นายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดงาน “เดินกินถิ่นนาเกลือ” ครั้งที่ 17 ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรม กระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจชุมชน และอนุรักษ์วิถีชีวิตดั้งเดิมของชาวนาเกลือ โดยมีคณะผู้บริหารเมืองพัทยา ประกอบด้วย รองนายกเมืองพัทยา ประธานสภาเมืองพัทยา ประธานที่ปรึกษาฯ ผู้ช่วยเลขานุการฯ สมาชิกสภาเมืองพัทยา พร้อมทั้งนายอำเภอบางละมุง ผู้แทนจากกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย สำนักงานพัทยา ผู้นำชุมชน และประชาชนเข้าร่วมงานอย่างคึกคัก ณ หน้าธนาคารออมสินบางละมุง จังหวัดชลบุรี ภายในงานมีกิจกรรมหลากหลาย อาทิ การออกร้านจำหน่ายอาหารพื้นบ้านรสชาติดั้งเดิม อาหารทะเลสด ๆ จากชุมชน การสาธิตภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น การแสดงศิลปวัฒนธรรม และกิจกรรมเดินชิมอาหารตลอดเส้นทางชุมชน สร้างสีสันและบรรยากาศแห่งความอบอุ่นให้กับผู้ร่วมงานและนักท่องเที่ยว
ด้านนายกเมืองพัทยา กล่าวว่า “งานเดินกินถิ่นนาเกลือในวันนี้ ไม่ได้เป็นเพียงถนนแห่งอาหารอร่อยเท่านั้น แต่คือถนนแห่งศิลปะและตัวตนของชุมชน เรานำสตรีทอาร์ตมาผสมผสานกับวิถีชีวิต เพื่อให้ถนนทุกสายมีเรื่องราว มีสีสัน และมีแรงบันดาลใจ”พัทยาไม่ใช่แค่เมืองท่องเที่ยว แต่คือเมืองแห่งวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย ถนนสตรีทอาร์ตและงานคราฟต์ในวันนี้ คือก้าวสำคัญของการพัฒนาเมือง ที่เคารพรากเหง้า และเปิดรับความคิดใหม่ และหวังว่างานเดินกินถิ่นนาเกลือ จะเป็นพื้นที่ที่ทุกคนเดินแล้วอิ่มทั้งท้อง อิ่มทั้งใจและได้เห็นว่าศิลปะและชุมชน สามารถเติบโตไปด้วยกันอย่างงดงาม”
