Isan Pattaya Association actively participates in preserving the tradition of ‘Boon Khao Sak’ and ‘Boon Poo Ya’ at Wat Nong Or
On September 7th 2025 at 8:30 AM at Nong Or Monastery, Central Pattaya, Chonburi Province, Isan Pattaya Association, led by Mr. Sukreep Krajai, President of the Association, in collaboration with Wat Nong Or organized the annual “Boon Khao Sak and Boon Poo Ya” festival for 2025. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and devotion, with a large number of Isan people residing in Pattaya attending the event.
“Boon Khao Sak” is considered one of the important traditional ceremonies of the Isan people. It takes place on the full moon day of the lunar calendar (15th day of the waxing moon). Villagers prepare food offerings such as sticky rice, dried or grilled foods like grilled fish, grilled meat, jaew bong (fermented chili paste), and small packets of rice to offer to monks. The merit is then dedicated to their ancestors and deceased relatives. This practice reflects both cultural preservation and deep gratitude towards past generations.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, who presided over the opening ceremony. Also in attendance were numerous distinguished guests including members of the Pattaya City Council, the Assistant Secretary to the Council President and his team, Mr. Sakon Phonluekin, Deputy President of Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO), Mr. Nakorn Phonluekin, Member of the Chonburi PAO, Mr. Mana Yaprakam, President of the Pattaya City Cultural Council, Mr. Rattakit Hengtrakul, former advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mrs. Orawan Sukananwong, President of the Pattaya City Community Association, along with community leaders, community presidents, local residents, and members of the Isan community in Pattaya.
The atmosphere was festive, filled with faith and unity, clearly reflecting the strength and beauty of preserving Isan cultural traditions in Pattaya City traditions that continue to hold value and significance to this day.

เมื่อวัน ที่ 7 กันยายน 2568 เวลา 08.30 น. ที่สำนักสงฆ์หนองอ้อ พัทยากลาง จ.ชลบุรี สมาคมชาวอีสานเมืองพัทยา นำโดยนายสุครีพ กระจาย นายกสมาคมฯ ร่วมกับสำนักสงฆ์หนองอ้อ จัดงานบุญข้าวสาก บุญปู่ย่า อีสานพัทยา ประจำปี 2568 บรรยากาศภายในงานเต็มไปด้วยความอบอุ่นและศรัทธา มีประชาชนชาวอีสานที่อาศัยอยู่ในเมืองพัทยาเข้าร่วมเป็นจำนวนมาก
“บุญข้าวสาก” ถือเป็นหนึ่งในประเพณีสำคัญของชาวอีสาน ตรงกับวันขึ้น 15 ค่ำ โดยชาวบ้านจะจัดเตรียมสำรับอาหาร ข้าวเหนียว อาหารแห้ง เช่น ปลาย่าง เนื้อย่าง แจ่วบอง และห่อข้าวเล็ก ๆ เพื่อนำไปถวายพระสงฆ์ เพื่ออุทิศส่วนบุญส่วนกุศลให้แก่บรรพบุรุษและญาติผู้ล่วงลับ ถือเป็นการสืบทอดวัฒนธรรมและแสดงความกตัญญูกตเวที
ภายในงานได้รับเกียรติจากนายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา มาเป็นประธานในพิธีเปิด พร้อมด้วยแขกผู้มีเกียรติร่วมงานคับคั่ง อาทิ คณะสมาชิกสภาเมืองพัทยา ผู้ช่วยเลขาประธานสภาฯ และคณะทำงานนายกฯ, นายสกน ผลลูกอินทร์ รองนายก อบจ.ชลบุรี, นายนคร ผลลูกอินทร์ สมาชิก อบจ.ชลบุรี, นายมานะ ยาประคำ ประธานสภาวัฒนธรรมเมืองพัทยา, นายรัฐกิจ เฮงตระกูล อดีตที่ปรึกษา รมว.การท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา, นางอรวรรณ สุขอนันต์วงศ์ นายกสมาคมชุมชนเมืองพัทยา รวมถึงผู้นำชุมชน ประธานชุมชน และพี่น้องประชาชนทั้งชาวเมืองพัทยาและชาวอีสาน ร่วมงานอย่างพร้อมเพรียง
บรรยากาศเป็นไปอย่างรื่นเริง ศรัทธา และเปี่ยมไปด้วยความสามัคคี สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงพลังของการสืบสานประเพณีวัฒนธรรมอีสานในเมืองพัทยา ที่ยังคงงดงามและทรงคุณค่ามาจนถึงปัจจุบัน
