Pattaya City Enhances Rock Landscape at Hidden Wong Amat Beach

September 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM, Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, conducted an on-site inspection to address the issue of rocky outcrops along Wong Amat Beach. He was accompanied by officials from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, as well as the Cleanliness Control Division, who carried out the removal of scattered rocks from the beach area. Mr. Poompipat Kamonnart, Secretary to the Mayor, and the Chairman of the Wong Amat Beach Local Fishermen Group were also present to provide relevant information.
Mayor Poramet stated that Pattaya City had received reports from the local fishermen group that a significant number of rocks had emerged along the beachline at Wong Amat. The area, commonly referred to as a “hidden beach,” is renowned for its unspoiled natural beauty and serves as a destination where tourists can relax and purchase fresh seafood directly from local fishermen. Due to its growing popularity, there is increasing concern that tourists walking or swimming in the area may risk injury from the exposed rocks. In response, the city dispatched personnel to clear and relocate the scattered rocks to areas where they would not be washed back into swimming zones or onto the beach by the tide. In the long term, the city plans to maintain the area as a rock-free, safe natural beach destination that retains its unique identity as a hidden gem infused with the charm of a local fishing village.

วันที่ 8 กันยายน 2568 เวลา 10.00 น. นายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา ลงพื้นที่ตรวจสอบและแก้ไขปัญหาหินโสโครกบริเวณชายหาดวงศ์อมาตย์ พร้อมนำเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายควบคุมการรักษาความสะอาด สำนักทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม เข้าดำเนินการจัดเก็บ โดยมีนายภูมิพิพัฒน์ กมลนาถ เลขานุการนายกเมืองพัทยา พร้อมด้วยประธานกลุ่มประมงพื้นบ้านหาดวงศ์อมาตย์ ร่วมให้ข้อมูล
นายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา เปิดเผยว่า เมืองพัทยาได้รับรายงานจากกลุ่มประมงพื้นบ้านหาดวงศ์อมาตย์ว่า ปัจจุบันบริเวณชายหาดวงศ์อมาตย์มีหินโสโครกขึ้นตามแนวชายหาดเป็นจำนวนมาก ประกอบกับบริเวณนี้เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวที่ได้รับการขนานนามว่าเป็นหาดลับที่มีความสมบูรณ์ทางธรรมชาติที่สวยงาม และเป็นแหล่งขายอาหารทะเลสดๆ จากกลุ่มประมงพื้นบ้านซึ่งเมืองพัทยาได้มีการจัดระเบียบให้นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถมาเลือกซื้ออาหารทะเลสดๆ พร้อมกับพักผ่อนท่ามกลางธรรมชาติ โดยได้รับความนิยมจากนักท่องเที่ยวจำนวนมาก อาจทำให้นักท่องเที่ยวที่มาเดินชายหาด หรือเล่นน้ำบริเวณนี้ได้รับบาดเจ็บ ในวันนี้จึงนำกำลังเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายควบคุมการรักษาความสะอาด สำนักทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม ลงพื้นที่ดำเนินการจัดเก็บและเคลื่อนย้ายเศษหินที่กระจัดกระจายบริเวณแนวชายหาดเหล่านี้ไปไว้ในจุดที่น้ำไม่สามารถพัดพาลงไปที่ชายหาดหรือบริเวณจุดเล่นน้ำได้ เพื่อความปลอดภัยของนักท่องเที่ยว อย่างไรก็ตามในระยะยาวเมืองพัทยาจะเคลียร์พื้นที่ให้เป็นชายหาดที่ไม่มีหินโสโครก เพื่อความปลอดภัยของนักท่องเที่ยว เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติ “หาดลับวงศ์อมาตย์” ที่มีอัตลักษ์กลิ่นอายชาวประมงพื้นบ้าน และสวยงามอย่างยืนต่อไป
