The Mayor of Pattaya Welcomes the Ambassador of Austria to Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in Tourism

On July 30th 2025, at 11:00 AM, Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, warmly welcomed H.E. Mr. Wilhelm Maximilian Donko, Ambassador of Austria to Thailand, on the occasion of his official visit to Pattaya. The purpose of the visit was to discuss ways to enhance tourism cooperation between the two parties. Also present to extend their welcome and participate in the discussions were Ms. Thitiphan Phettrakun, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, and Mr. Phumipipat Kamonat, Secretary to the Mayor. The meeting took place in a friendly and cordial atmosphere at the Reception Room, Pattaya City Hall.
During the discussion, both parties exchanged information and ideas on strategies to attract more Austrian tourists to Pattaya. The dialogue highlighted Pattaya’s key advantages, particularly its strategic location near Bangkok, convenient accessibility, and suitability as a destination for long-term stays factors that align well with the preferences of Austrian travelers.
This meeting marks an important step in establishing a cooperative tourism network between Pattaya City and the Embassy of Austria in Thailand, with the goal of promoting future exchanges in tourism and culture.

30 กรกฎาคม 2568 เวลา 11.00 น. นายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา ให้การต้อนรับ H.E. Mr. Wilhelm Maximilian Donko เอกอัครราชทูตออสเตรียประจำประเทศไทย ในโอกาสเยือนเมืองพัทยาอย่างเป็นทางการ เพื่อหารือแนวทางส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างสองฝ่าย โดยมีนางสาวทิฐิพันธ์ เพ็ชรตระกูล รองนายกเมืองพัทยา และนายภูมิพิพัฒน์ กมลนาถ เลขานุการนายกเมืองพัทยา เข้าร่วมให้การต้อนรับและร่วมพูดคุยอย่างเป็นกันเอง ณ ห้องรับรอง ศาลาว่าการเมืองพัทยา
ในการหารือครั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและแนวคิดเกี่ยวกับแนวทางดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวชาวออสเตรียให้เดินทางมาท่องเที่ยวในเมืองพัทยามากยิ่งขึ้น โดยเฉพาะจุดแข็งของเมืองพัทยาในด้านทำเลที่ตั้งซึ่งอยู่ใกล้กรุงเทพมหานคร เดินทางสะดวก และเหมาะสำหรับการพักผ่อนระยะยาว ซึ่งเป็นที่นิยมในกลุ่มนักท่องเที่ยวชาวออสเตรีย
การพบปะครั้งนี้ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือด้านการท่องเที่ยวระหว่างเมืองพัทยากับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตออสเตรียประจำประเทศไทย เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนนักท่องเที่ยวและวัฒนธรรมในอนาคต
