Pattaya City launches a salt field restoration project, releasing aquatic animals to help restore ecological balance
On July 31st 2025, Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, presided over the opening ceremony of an educational activity on aquatic animal breeding and juvenile aquatic animal care. The event was part of the “Nature Restoration for Ecotourism Promotion” project for the fiscal year 2025, organized by the Natural Resources Division under the Office of Natural Resources and Environment, Pattaya City. Mr. Manoch Nongyai, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, along with heads of government departments, relevant agencies, and students from Pattaya’s municipal schools also participated in the event. Together, they released aquatic species into the salt field area to help restore ecological balance. The salt field area is a historic and unique community located amid the urban development of Pattaya. It stands out as a diverse tourist destination, offering attractions such as traditional markets, seafood markets, and an old town community that blends Thai and Chinese cultures. Visitors can pay respect at sacred sites including temples and shrines, or enjoy local experiences such as observing traditional fishing lifestyles or cycling through Pattaya’s last remaining mangrove forest. Na Kluea (Salt Fields) is thus considered a significant area for tourism in Pattaya.
Pattaya City recognizes the importance of restoring natural resources and maintaining ecological balance, alongside promoting ecotourism. This vision aligns with the “Better Pattaya” policy, which aims to enhance the quality of life for its residents and foster sustainable urban development. To support this initiative, the Natural Resources Division, under the Office of Natural Resources and Environment, has launched the “Nature Restoration for Ecotourism Promotion” project for the fiscal year 2025. As part of the project, the Lan Pho Community-Based Fishermen Group was invited to serve as guest speakers, providing valuable knowledge on the breeding and care of juvenile aquatic animals such as crabs and squids. The event also included a joint activity to release young aquatic animals into the Na Kluea area to support the conservation of marine life in the region.
This activity marks another important step in advancing environmental conservation efforts alongside the promotion of quality tourism paving the way for a more livable and sustainable Pattaya in the future.
เมืองพัทยาเปิดกิจกรรมฟื้นฟูนาเกลือ ปล่อยพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำคืนความสมบูรณ์สู่ระบบนิเวศ
31 กรกฎาคม 2568 นายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดกิจกรรมให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการเพาะพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำและการอนุบาลสัตว์น้ำวัยอ่อน ภายใต้โครงการ “ฟื้นฟูธรรมชาติเพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงอนุรักษ์” ประจำปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ. 2568 จัดขึ้นโดยฝ่ายทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ ส่วนส่งเสริมคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม สำนักทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม เมืองพัทยา โดยมีนายมาโนช หนองใหญ่ รองนายกเมืองพัทยา พร้อมด้วยหัวหน้าส่วนราชการ หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง และนักเรียนจากโรงเรียนในสังกัดเมืองพัทยาเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม รวมทั้งร่วมกันปล่อยพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำเพื่อคืนความสมบูรณ์ให้กับระบบนิเวศในพื้นที่นาเกลือ
พื้นที่นาเกลือ ถือเป็นชุมชนเก่าที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัว ตั้งอยู่ท่ามกลางความเจริญของเมืองพัทยา โดดเด่นด้วยแหล่งท่องเที่ยวหลากหลาย มีจุดแวะเที่ยวที่หลากหลาย ทั้งตลาดเก่า ตลาดอาหารทะเล ชุมชนโบราณที่ผสมผสานระหว่างวัฒนธรรมไทยและวัฒนธรรมจีน สถานที่สักการะสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ทั้งวัดและศาลเจ้า และมีกิจกรรมให้เลือกชมทั้งวิถีชีวิตประมงพื้นบ้านหรือปั่นจักรยานเที่ยวชมป่าชายเลนผืนสุดท้ายของพัทยา นาเกลือจึงถือเป็นพื้นที่สำคัญในการท่องเที่ยวอีกแห่งหนึ่งของเมืองพัทยา
เมืองพัทยาได้ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการฟื้นฟูทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ และการสร้างสมดุลของระบบนิเวศ ควบคู่ไปกับการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงอนุรักษ์ ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับนโยบาย “Better Pattaya” มุ่งยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของประชาชน พร้อมสร้างเมืองที่เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน
ฝ่ายทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ ส่วนส่งเสริมคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม สำนักทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม จึงจัดทำโครงการฟื้นฟูธรรมชาติเพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวเชิงอนุรักษ์ ประจำปีงบประมาณ พ.ศ.2568 ขึ้น โดยได้รับเกียรติจากกลุ่มประมงพื้นบ้านลานโพธิ์ เป็นวิทยากรอบรมให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการเพาะพันธุ์สัตว์น้ำ และการดูแลอนุบาลสัตว์วัยอ่อน อาทิ ปู ปลาหมึก และร่วมกันปล่อยสัตว์วัยอ่อนเพื่อการอนุรักษ์สัตว์น้ำในพื้นที่ของตำบลนาเกลือ
กิจกรรมครั้งนี้ถือว่าเป็นอีกหนึ่งก้าวสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนแนวทางอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม ควบคู่กับการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวคุณภาพ เพื่อเมืองพัทยาที่น่าอยู่และยั่งยืนในอนาคต
