Veterans First Healthcare Clinic organized a celebration in remembrance of Juneteenth National Independence Day in Pattaya.
On June 19th 2025 at Soi Ratchawarun, Khao Phra Tamnak, Pattaya City, Chonburi Province, Veterans First Healthcare Clinic Co., Ltd. organized a celebration to commemorate the Emancipation Day of African Americans in the United States, also known as Juneteenth National Independence Day, which is observed annually on June 19th.
Juneteenth is a significant historical day in the United States, commemorating the events of June 19, 1865, when African Americans in the state of Texas were officially freed from slavery despite the Emancipation Proclamation having been issued back in 1863. In 2021, President Joe Biden signed a bill officially designating June 19th of each year as a federal holiday in the United States.
On this occasion, Veterans First Healthcare Clinic a medical center that provides healthcare services specifically for U.S. veterans residing in Thailand, particularly in the Pattaya area took part in organizing the event to commemorate this important day of freedom. The clinic aimed to honor the significance of Juneteenth and to demonstrate its commitment to supporting human rights, equality, and social justice.
The clinic’s mission is to ensure that those who have served in the U.S. military receive appropriate, comprehensive, and accessible healthcare. This reinforces the vital role of veterans as individuals who have made sacrifices for their country. Moreover, the clinic serves as a driving force in fostering positive and ongoing relations between the expatriate community in Pattaya and Thai society.

เมื่อวันที่ 19 มิถุนายน 2568 ที่บริเวณซอยราชวรุณ เขาพระตำหนัก เมืองพัทยา จังหวัดชลบุรี บริษัท วีเทอแรนส์ เฟิร์ส เฮลท์แคร์ คลินิก จำกัด (Veterans First Healthcare Clinic)ได้จัดงานเฉลิมฉลอง “วันเลิกทาสของคนผิวสีในสหรัฐอเมริกา” หรือที่รู้จักกันในชื่อ Juneteenth National Independence Day ซึ่งตรงกับวันที่ 19 มิถุนายนของทุกปี
Juneteenth เป็นวันสำคัญทางประวัติศาสตร์ของสหรัฐอเมริกา ซึ่งระลึกถึงเหตุการณ์ในวันที่ 19 มิถุนายน ค.ศ. 1865 เมื่อชาวอเมริกันเชื้อสายแอฟริกันในรัฐเท็กซัสได้รับอิสรภาพจากระบบทาสอย่างเป็นทางการ แม้คำสั่งเลิกทาสจะถูกประกาศตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 1863 แล้วก็ตาม ทั้งนี้เมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2021 ประธานาธิบดีโจ ไบเดน ได้ลงนามประกาศให้วันที่ 19 มิถุนายนของทุกปีเป็นวันหยุดราชการแห่งชาติของสหรัฐอเมริกาอย่างเป็นทางการ
ในการนี้ Veterans First Healthcare Clinic ซึ่งเป็นคลินิกหรือศูนย์บริการด้านสุขภาพที่ให้บริการทางการแพทย์โดยเฉพาะสำหรับ ทหารผ่านศึก (Veterans) จากสหรัฐอเมริกาที่พำนักในเมืองไทย โดยเฉพาะในเขตเมืองพัทยา ได้มีส่วนร่วมในการจัดกิจกรรมดังกล่าว เพื่อร่วมรำลึกถึงความสำคัญของวันแห่งเสรีภาพ และแสดงจุดยืนในการสนับสนุนสิทธิมนุษยชน ความเท่าเทียม และความยุติธรรมในสังคม
ทั้งนี้ คลินิกฯ มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อให้แน่ใจว่า ผู้ที่เคยรับใช้ชาติในกองทัพสหรัฐฯ ได้รับการดูแลสุขภาพที่เหมาะสม ครอบคลุม และทั่วถึง ตอกย้ำบทบาทสำคัญของทหารผ่านศึกในฐานะผู้เสียสละเพื่อประเทศชาติ และเป็นอีกหนึ่งแรงขับเคลื่อนที่ส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างชุมชนชาวต่างชาติในพัทยาและสังคมไทยอย่างต่อเนื่อง
