Rotary Club of Pattaya Center International collaborates with Partners organize “Planting Trees for a Greener World” Project Phase 2 on Pattaya Hill
At 9:30 AM on June 17th 2025, near the Pattaya City Sign at the highest point of Pattaya Hill (Sathorn 5), the Rotary Club of Pattaya Center International, in collaboration with Pattaya City, Pattaya City Police Station, Banglamung District Royal Volunteer Group, and other partners, held the second phase of the “Planting Trees for a Greener World” project. The event aims to restore green spaces and promote environmental conservation in the area.
The event was presided over by Ms. Panrada Attohi, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Pattaya City, and Mr. Wichawut Phinyo, Head of the Botanical Department. Also in attendance were Ms. Janna Suwannsri, Founding and Current President of the Rotary Club of Pattaya Center International; Pol. Lt. Col. Prow Onsom, Deputy Superintendent (Community Policing), Pattaya City Police; Pol. Sub. Lt. Thong-in Panyanam, Deputy Inspector; members of the Royal Volunteer Unit; community police volunteers; Rotary Club members; and local volunteers who actively participated in the event.
Trees planted during the event included Yellow Elder (Tecoma stans), Peacock Flowers (Delonix regia), and Wild Mango Trees. The key objectives of the project are: To create green spaces on Pattaya Hill for aesthetic and environmental benefits. To provide long-term benefits to local communities through edible fruit-bearing trees and perennial crops. To combat air pollution by using large trees to absorb PM 2.5 and purify the air for public health.
This project is part of the Rotary Club’s long-term sustainability initiative to enhance the natural environment. It also aims to strengthen collaboration between the Rotary organization and other social-benefit groups, fostering unity and community spirit in preserving the environment and creating lasting green spaces for the common good.

เมื่อเวลา 09.30 น. วันที่ 17 มิถุนายน 2568 ที่บริเวณใกล้เคียงป้ายพัทยาซิตี้ บนเขาสทร.5 ซึ่งเป็นจุดที่สูงที่สุดของเมืองพัทยา สโมสรโรตารี่พัทยาเซ็นเตอร์อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล ร่วมกับเมืองพัทยา สถานีตำรวจภูธรเมืองพัทยา จิตอาสาพระราชทานอำเภอบางละมุง และภาคีเครือข่าย จัดกิจกรรม “ปลูกต้นไม้ ป่ารักษ์โลก ครั้งที่ 2” เพื่อฟื้นฟูพื้นที่สีเขียว และส่งเสริมการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม
โดยมีนางปาณรดา อัตโตหิ รองปลัดเมืองพัทยา และนายวิชชาวุธส์ ภิญโญ หัวหน้าฝ่ายพฤกษศาสตร์ เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิด พร้อมด้วยคุณจาน่า สุวรรณศรี นายกก่อตั้งและนายกสโมสรโรตารี่พัทยาเซ็นเตอร์อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล พ.ต.ต.พราว อ่อนโสม สวป.(ชส.) สภ.เมืองพัทยา ร.ต.ท.ทองอินทร์ ปัญญานาม รอง สวป.สภ.เมืองพัทยา จิตอาสาพระราชทาน อาสาสมัครตำรวจชุมชน สมาชิกสโมสรโรตารี่ และผู้มีจิตอาสา เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมอย่างพร้อมเพรียง
สำหรับพันธุ์ไม้ที่นำมาปลูกในครั้งนี้ประกอบด้วย ต้นทองอุไร ต้นหางนกยูง และต้นมะม่วงป่า โดยมีจุดมุ่งหมายหลัก 3 ประการ ได้แก่สร้างพื้นที่สีเขียวเพื่อความสวยงามและความร่มรื่นให้กับเขาพัทยาส่งเสริมประโยชน์ในระยะยาวแก่ประชาชน โดยสามารถเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิตจากไม้ผลและพืชยืนต้นไว้บริโภคภายในครอบครัว เพิ่มปริมาณต้นไม้ใหญ่เพื่อช่วยกรองฝุ่น PM 2.5 ฟอกอากาศ และลดมลภาวะให้กับพื้นที่เมืองพัทยา
โครงการนี้เป็นหนึ่งในแผนงานระยะยาวของสโมสรโรตารี่พัทยาเซ็นเตอร์อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล ที่มุ่งเน้นความยั่งยืนและการมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชนในการอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างองค์กรโรตารี่กับหน่วยงานที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อสังคม รวมพลังจิตอาสาในการร่วมกันรักษ์โลกและสร้างพื้นที่สีเขียวเพื่อประโยชน์ส่วนรวมในอนาคต
