Thailand Extreme Fest 2025 Opens Elite Athletes Aim for National Team Spots

On May 24th 2025 at 4:30 PM, the opening ceremony of the Thailand Extreme Fest 2025, the national extreme sports championship, was held at the Sunken Activity Plaza, Central Pattaya. Dr. Pitaya Piromyon, Assistant Secretary to the Mayor of Pattaya, and Mr. Banlue Kullawanit, President of the Pattaya City Council, presided over the event alongside Mr. Purit Pirompakdee, President of the Thailand Extreme Sports Association. The ceremony was also attended by executives from the association and representatives from relevant agencies. The event drew enthusiastic participation from athletes nationwide and garnered significant interest from both Thai and international tourists.
The Thailand Extreme Fest 2025, the national extreme sports championship is organized through a collaboration between Pattaya City and TESA – Thailand Extreme Sports Association.The event takes place from May 23rd to 25th 2025, across various venues in Pattaya including: The Multi-purpose Plaza at Central Pattaya Shopping Mall (Skateboarding, BMX, Roller / Inline Freestyle), Thai Wake Park – Pattaya (TWP Pattaya) (Cable Wakeboard) Naklua Chalermprakiat Park (Speed Skate) Khao Phra Yai, Pattaya (Downhill Skateboard).
The event aims to develop the skills of local athletes to achieve excellence, while encouraging youth in Pattaya and neighboring provinces to engage in sports as a positive alternative to undesirable teenage behaviors. It also seeks to promote Pattaya’s reputation as Sports City and a hub for Sports Tourism. This year’s festival features seven extreme sports disciplines, led by “Nong ST” Wareerya, an Olympic skateboarder along with many other World Games athletes.
This event is considered a vibrant activity that significantly boosts Pattaya’s tourism economy, truly living up to its reputation as a genuine Sports City. Moreover, it serves as a platform to scout outstanding athletes to strengthen Thailand’s national teams in preparation for the LA 2028 Olympics and the SEA Games, which will be hosted in Thailand later this year. Over 400 extreme sports athletes from across the country have registered to compete in the event.

วันที่ 24 พ.ค.68 เวลา 16.30 น. ณ ลานกิจกรรมซันเคน ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัล พัทยา ดร.พิทยา ภิรมย์อ้น ผู้ช่วยเลขานุการนายกเมืองพัทยา และนายบรรลือ กุลละวณิชย์ ประธานสภาเมืองพัทยา ร่วมเปิดการแข่งขันกีฬาเอ็กซ์ตรีมชิงชนะเลิศแห่งประเทศไทย รายการ “Thailand Extreme Fest 2025” พร้อมด้วยนายภูริต ภิรมย์ภักดี นายกสมาคมกีฬาเอ็กซ์ตรีมแห่งประเทศไทย โดยมีคณะผู้บริหารสมาคมกีฬาเอ็กซ์ตรีมแห่งประเทศไทย และผู้แทนจากหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ร่วมเป็นเกียรติในพิธี ท่ามกลางนักกีฬาที่เข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน และนักท่องเที่ยวทั้งคนไทย-ต่างชาติให้ความสนใจเข้าร่วมชมการแข่งขันเป็นจำนวนมาก
สำหรับการแข่งขันกีฬาเอ็กซ์ตรีมชิงชนะเลิศแห่งประเทศไทย รายการ “Thailand Extreme Fest 2025” จัดโดยความร่วมมือระหว่างเมืองพัทยา และสมาคมกีฬาเอ็กซ์ตรีมแห่งประเทศไทย ระหว่างวันที่ 23-25 พฤษภาคม 2568 ในพื้นที่เมืองพัทยา ประกอบด้วย ลานอเนกประสงค์ศูนย์การค้าเซ็นทรัลพัทยา (สเก็ตบอร์ด, BMX, โรลเลอร์/อินไลน์ ฟรีสไตล์), ไทย เวคพาร์ค พัทยา (เคเบิ้ลเวคบอร์ด), สวนสาธารณะเฉลิมพระเกียรติ นาเกลือ (สปีดสเก็ต) และเขาพระใหญ่ พัทยา (ดาวน์ฮิลล์)
โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาฝีมือนักกีฬาท้องถิ่นสู่ความเป็นเลิศ สามารถดึงดูดให้เยาวชนในเมืองพัทยาและจังหวัดต่างๆ ให้หันมาเล่นกีฬาต้านพฤติกรรมอันไม่สมควรในวัยรุ่น สร้างชื่อเสียงให้กับเมืองพัทยาในด้านการเป็นเมืองกีฬา (Sports City) และการท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬา (Sports Tourism) ซึ่งปีนี้จัดเต็ม 7 ชนิดกีฬา นำทีมโดย “น้องเอสที” วารีรยา นักสเก็ตบอร์ดโอลิมปิก และนักกีฬาเวิลด์เกมส์อีกมากมาย ทั้งนี้มีนักกีฬาเอ็กซ์ตรีมกว่า 400 คน จากทั่วประเทศตบเท้าเข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน
ซึ่งถือได้ว่าเป็นอีกหนึ่งกิจกรรมที่ช่วยสร้างสีสัน และกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจการท่องเที่ยวให้กับเมืองพัทยาได้เป็นอย่างดี สมกับที่เป็นเมืองกีฬา (Sports City) อย่างแท้จริง และเพื่อเฟ้นหาสุดยอดนักกีฬา เสริมทัพทีมชาติไทย เตรียมลุยโอลิมปิก LA 2028 และซีเกมส์ที่จะจัดขึ้นในประเทศไทยปลายปีนี้อีกด้วย
