Pattaya Enhances Bali Hai Pier Floating Dock Modern, Safe, and Ready to Support Marine Tourism

On May 23rd 2025, Mr. Krisana Boonsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya, together with the Assistant Secretary to the Mayor, members of the Pattaya City Council, heads of government departments, and relevant officials, visited the Bali Hai Pier area to inspect the readiness of the newly upgraded floating dock. The floating dock, originally constructed to serve speedboats in 2014, has been in use for over a decade. Exposure to sun, wind, and seawater has caused gradual deterioration of the structure over time. In response, the Mayor of Pattaya has initiated a plan to upgrade the safety and efficiency of the pier facilities. The aim is to enhance public services and ensure the safety of both residents and tourists aligning with the city’s vision of “Marine Tourism for All.”
Pattaya City has undertaken a project to renovate the floating docks for passenger boarding and disembarkation at Laem Bali Hai Pier. The renovation was carried out from February 5 to May 9, 2025, with the aim of enhancing comfort and convenience for both locals and tourists using speedboat services. Clear signage has been installed, and the upgraded docks can now accommodate up to 150 passengers at a time. There are six floating docks in total: Four docks measuring 9.00 x 26.00 meters and Two docks measuring 9.00 x 28.00 meters.
Mr. Krisana stated that the new floating docks are made of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), a strong, durable material that can withstand heavy loads and impacts ideal for marine environments. This upgrade results in a more stable, robust, and significantly safer structure. For speedboat docks No. 4 and No. 6, relevant agencies have been assigned to improve the ramp gradient at the curbside and the bridge leading to the floating dock, making it less steep. This adjustment is designed to ensure greater accessibility for the elderly and wheelchair users. At the same time, Pattaya City continues to advance the development of Bali Hai Pier as a key hub for safe and sustainable marine tourism, supporting the future growth of the tourism industry. The new design is inclusive, with accessibility features to support the elderly and wheelchair users.

วันที่ 23 พ.ค. 68 นายกฤษณะ บุญสวัสดิ์ รองนายกเมืองพัทยา พร้อมด้วยผู้ช่วยเลขานุการนายกเมืองพัทยา สมาชิกสภาเมืองพัทยา หัวหน้าส่วนราชการ และเจ้าหน้าที่ที่เกี่ยวข้อง ร่วมลงพื้นที่ตรวจความพร้อมการใช้งานโป๊ะเทียบเรือแหลมบาลีฮาย โป๊ะท่าเทียบเรือเร็วได้ให้บริการเมื่อปี 2557 ซึ่งผ่านการใช้งานมานานนับกว่า 10 ปี ด้วยสภาพแวดล้อม แสงแดด ลม และน้ำทะเล ส่งผลให้โป๊ะรับ-ส่งนักท่องเที่ยวชำรุดทรุดโทรมตามกาลเวลา ทั้งนี้ นายกเมืองพัทยาจึงมีแนวคิดที่จะยกระดับความปลอดภัย เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการให้บริการสาธารณะแก่ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยว อีกทั้งเพื่อสร้างความปลอดภัยในชีวิตและทรัพย์สินของประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยว ภายใต้แนวคิด “การท่องเที่ยวทางทะเลเพื่อคนทั้งมวล”
เมืองพัทยาจึงดำเนินโครงการปรับปรุงโป๊ะเทียบเรือสำหรับรับ-ส่งผู้โดยสาร บริเวณท่าเรือแหลมบาลีฮาย ซึ่งเริ่มดำเนินการตั้งแต่วันที่ 5 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 ถึงวันที่ 9 พฤษภาคม 2568 เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกสบายให้แก่ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยวที่ใช้บริการขึ้น-ลงเรือเร็ว พร้อมติดตั้งป้ายระบุชัดเจน รองรับผู้โดยสารนักท่องเที่ยวได้สูงสุด 150 คน โดยโป๊ะท่าเทียบเรือเร็วมีจำนวน 6 ท่า ประกอบด้วยขนาด 9.00 x 26.00 เมตร จำนวน 4 ท่า และขนาด 9.00 x 28.00 เมตร จำนวน 2 ท่า รองรับผู้สูงอายุหรือผู้ใช้รถวีลแชร์
นายกฤษณะเปิดเผยว่า โป๊ะใหม่นี้ใช้วัสดุ HDPE ซึ่งมีความแข็งแรง ทนทาน รองรับน้ำหนักและแรงกระแทกได้ดี เหมาะกับสภาพแวดล้อมทางทะเล ทำให้โครงสร้างนิ่ง แข็งแรง และปลอดภัยมากขึ้นอย่างชัดเจน สำหรับโป๊ะท่าเทียบเรือเร็วหมายเลข 4 และ 6 ได้มอบหมายให้หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องดำเนินการแก้ไขทางลาดบริเวณขอบฟุตบาท และทางขึ้นสะพานเชื่อมลงโป๊ะให้มีความลาดที่ชันน้อยลง เพื่อให้ผู้สูงอายุหรือผู้ใช้รถวีลแชร์สามารถใช้งานได้สะดวกยิ่งขึ้น พร้อมกันนี้ เมืองพัทยายังเดินหน้าพัฒนาท่าเรือบาลีฮายให้เป็นจุดเชื่อมต่อหลักของการท่องเที่ยวทางทะเลอย่างยั่งยืนและปลอดภัย รองรับการเติบโตของอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวในอนาคต
