Pattaya City promotes environmental education for consumers and restaurant operators, encouraging sustainable and eco-friendly practices.
In the morning of May 15th 2025, Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya participated in a project aimed at promoting knowledge and awareness regarding health- and environmentally-friendly practices among hotel operators and restaurant businesses. The event was held in Meeting Room 401 at Pattaya City Hall and was attended by city executives, representatives from local businesses, community members, relevant agencies, and officials. Organized by the Public Health and Environment Bureau of Pattaya City, the project aimed to educate consumers and business operators on the dangers of reused cooking oil, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, and encouraging safe, health-conscious, and eco-friendly tourism practices. The initiative supports Pattaya’s goal of becoming a sustainable tourism city. The target groups for this program included local communities, business establishments, educational institutions, and relevant personnel and speakers within Pattaya.
Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya, expressed his support for the initiative and outlined the policy direction for the project. He also presented certificates of recognition to participating agencies and restaurants that joined the “No Waste Frying” campaign in 2024. In his remarks, he extended his gratitude to both public and private sector partners for their cooperation, which plays a key role in raising public awareness and preventing improper waste disposal practices that could harm the environment and negatively affect public health. This initiative aligns with the “Pattaya Go Green” policy and the ongoing “Better Pattaya” campaign, aimed at creating a cleaner, healthier, and more livable city. These efforts seek to enhance the quality of life for Pattaya residents while ensuring environmental sustainability and preparing the city for future global challenges.

ช่วงเช้า (15 พ.ค. 2568) นายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา ร่วมโครงการส่งเสริมให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการดำเนินการด้านโรงแรมและผู้ประกอบการร้านอาหารเป็นมิตรต่อสุขภาพและสิ่งแวดล้อม พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหารเมืองพัทยา ผู้แทนจากสถานประกอบการในเมืองพัทยา ชุมชนเมืองพัทยา หน่วยงานและเจ้าหน้าที่ที่เกี่ยวข้อง ณ ห้องประชุม 401 ศาลาว่าการเมืองพัทยา เมืองพัทยา โดยสำนักสาธารณสุขและสิ่งแวดล้อม จัดโครงการส่งเสริมให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการดำเนินการด้านโรงแรมและผู้ประกอบการร้านอาหารที่เป็นมิตรต่อสุขภาพและสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อให้ประชาชนผู้บริโภคและผู้ประกอบการในเมืองพัทยามีความรู้ความเข้าใจและตระหนักรู้ถึงอันตรายจากน้ำมันใช้ซ้ำและลดการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ รวมถึงการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวที่ปลอดภัย เป็นมิตรต่อสุขภาพ เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อมุ่งสู่การเป็นเมืองท่องเที่ยวอย่างยั่งยืนโดยมีชุมชนในเมืองพัทยา/สถานประกอบการในเมืองพัทยา/สถานศึกษาในเมืองพัทยาและเจ้าหน้าที่/วิทยากร เป็นกลุ่มเป้าหมาย
ด้านนายปรเมศวร์ นายกเมืองพัทยา กล่าวถึงการสนับสนุนและมอบนโยบายการจัดโครงการฯ พร้อมมอบใบประกาศนียบัตร สำหรับหน่วยงาน ร้านอาหารที่เข้าร่วมโครงการทอดไม่ทิ้งในปี 2567 ตลอดจนกล่าวขอบคุณหน่วยงานภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน ที่ให้ความร่วมมือซึ่งจะเป็นกุญแจสำคัญในการรณรงค์ให้ประชาชน ป้องกันปัญหาจากการทิ้งของเสียอย่างไม่ถูกวิธีที่จะก่อให้เกิดผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม และส่งผลเสียต่อสุขภาพ สอดคล้องกับนโยบาย Pattaya Go Green และนโยบาย “Better Pattaya” ต่อยอด ต่อเนื่อง เพื่อเมืองพัทยาที่ดีขึ้น ยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตคนพัทยา และสิ่งแวดล้อม ตอบโจทย์โลกอนาคต
