Pattaya Open International Taekwondo Championship 2025, Nong Tennis, the latest gold medal hero, participated to inspire the youth.
On May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at Pattaya Indoor Stadium, Eastern National Sports Center, Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya presided over the opening ceremony of the Pattaya Open International Taekwondo Championship 2025 and warmly welcomed all athletes. Mr. Kim Kyung-Duk president of Gyeonggi Do Taekwondo Association of the Republic of Korea also delivered a greeting speech. The event was also attended by Mr. Krisana Boonsawat, Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City; Mr. Banlue Kullavanijaya, Chairman of the Pattaya City Council; the Vice Chairman and members of the City Council; the Mayor’s working team; members of the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization Council representing Banglamung District; executives and board members of Gyeonggi Do Taekwondo Association as well as heads of government departments and related officials.
Pattaya Open International Taekwondo Championship 2025 is scheduled to take place from May 9–10, 2025, at the Indoor Athletics Building, Eastern National Sports Center, Pattaya City, Chonburi Province. The event is co-organized by Pattaya City and Gyeonggi Do Taekwondo Association of the Republic of Korea.Now in its fifth consecutive edition, the championship aims to promote and develop the skills of youth taekwondo athletes in Pattaya and nearby areas, while also providing them with valuable competitive experience to further enhance their path toward excellence. The championship has been elevated to meet international standards, featuring both Poomsae (forms) and Kyorugi (sparring) events. The competition brought together over 1,000 taekwondo athletes from 49 teams across the country, with more than 3,000 spectators attending. This event not only promotes tourism in the region but also enhances the image of Pattaya as a Sports City and a leading destination for sports tourism.
This year, Pattaya City and Gyeonggi Do Taekwondo Association went all out by offering a special reward to two winners from each competition category an exclusive 6-day, 5-night training and competition experience in South Korea.
Adding to the excitement, two-time Olympic gold medalist and national taekwondo hero “Nong Tennis” Panipak Wongpattanakit, a beloved figure among young athletes, was invited to join the event to inspire and encourage the participants.
In the final results of the competition, first place went to RSR Taekwondo Chonburi, second place to Theerapruk Team, and third place to Rangsiyan Gym. The winning teams were awarded honorary trophies by the Mayor of Pattaya City.
In addition to these accolades, numerous other prizes were presented as part of the event’s mission to provide opportunities for children and youth to engage in taekwondo showcase their talents, and develop their skills potentially paving the way for future professional careers. The championship also aimed to encourage young people to make productive use of their free time through sports.

เมื่อวันที่ 10 พ.ค. 68 เวลา 11.00 น. ณ อาคารกรีฑาในร่ม ศูนย์กีฬาแห่งชาติภาคตะวันออก เมืองพัทยา จ.ชลบุรี นายปรเมศวร์ งามพิเชษฐ์ นายกเมืองพัทยา เป็นประธานกล่าวต้อนรับนักกีฬา และเปิดการแข่งขันเทควันโด รายการ “Pattaya International Open Taekwondo Championship 2025” และ Mr. Kim Kyung-Duk นายกสมาคมเทควันโดเคียงกิโด สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ร่วมกล่าวทักทาย พร้อมกันนี้มีนายกฤษณะ บุญสวัสดิ์ รองนายกเมืองพัทยา นายบรรลือ กุลละวณิชย์ ประธานสภาเมืองพัทยา พร้อมรองประธานสภาเมืองพัทยา สมาชิกสภาเมืองพัทยา คณะทำงานนายกเมืองพัทยา และสมาชิกสภาองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดชลบุรี เขตอำเภอบางละมุง พร้อมคณะผู้บริหาร-กรรมการสมาคมเทควันโดเคียงกิโด หัวหน้าส่วนราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่ที่เกี่ยวข้อง เข้าร่วม
สำหรับการแข่งขันเทควันโด รายการ “Pattaya Open International Taekwondo Championship 2025” กำหนดจัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 9 – 10 พฤษภาคม 2568 ณ อาคารกรีฑาในร่ม ศูนย์กีฬาแห่งชาติภาคตะวันออก เมืองพัทยา จ.ชลบุรี โดยเมืองพัทยา ร่วมกับสมาคมเทควันโดเคียงกิโด สาธารณรัฐเกาหลี ซึ่งจัดขึ้นต่อเนื่องเป็นครั้งที่ 5 เพื่อส่งเสริมและพัฒนาทักษะนักกีฬาเทควันโดระดับเยาวชนในเขตพื้นที่เมืองพัทยาและพื้นที่ใกล้เคียง และเพื่อเสริมสร้างประสบการณ์จากการแข่งขันนำไปพัฒนาสู่ความเป็นเลิศ ยกระดับการแข่งขันสู่มาตรฐานสากล โดยเป็นการแข่งขันประเภทพุมเซ่ และประเภทต่อสู้ ซึ่งมีเหล่านักกีฬาเทควันโด 49 ทีม จำนวนกว่า 1,000 คนจากทั่วประเทศ เข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน และมีผู้เข้าร่วมชมการแข่งขันกว่า 3,000 คน ถือเป็นการส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวในพื้นที่ รวมทั้งส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์ของเมืองพัทยาในการเป็นเมืองกีฬา (Sports City) และการท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬา (Sports Tourism) ได้เป็นอย่างดี
โดยในปีนี้เมืองพัทยา และสมาคมเทควันโดเคียงกิโดฯ จัดใหญ่! มอบรางวัลพิเศษให้กับนักกีฬาที่ชนะการแข่งขัน ประเภทละ 2 ท่าน ให้ได้บินลัดฟ้าไปฝึกซ้อมและเข้าร่วมการแข่งขันที่ประเทศเกาหลีใต้ จำนวน 5 คืน 6 วัน และพิเศษสุดๆ! ได้เชิญฮีโร่เหรียญทองเทควันโดโอลิมปิกเกมส์ 2 สมัย “น้องเทนนิส” พาณิภัค วงศ์พัฒนกิจ ขวัญใจน้องๆ นักกีฬาหลายท่าน ร่วมสร้างสีสันและเป็นกำลังใจแก่น้องๆ นักกีฬาเทควันโดในการแข่งขันครั้งนี้ด้วย
โดยสรุปการแข่งขัน อันดับที่ 1 ได้แก่ ทีม RSR เทควันโด ชลบุรี ที่ 2 ได้แก่ทีม ธีรพฤกษ์ ที่ 3 ทีมรังสิยา ยิม รับถ้วยรางวัลเกียรติยศจากนายกเมืองพัทยาร่วมไปถึงยังมีการมอบรางวัลอื่นๆอีกมากมายทั้งนี้เพื่อเป็นการสร้างโอกาสและการเล่นกีฬาเทควันโดให้เด็กและเยาวชนได้มีเวทีในการแข่งขันกีฬาในการแสดงความสามารถพัฒนาฝีมือ นำไปสู่เส้นทางสายอาชีพ และส่งเสริมให้เด็กและเยาวชนรู้จักใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์
