The Deputy Governor of Chonburi presided over the opening of public service checkpoints for the Songkran Festival 2025

On April 12th, 2025 at 10:00 AM in front of Big C South Pattaya, Mr. Phongsit Pichanan, Deputy Governor of Chonburi Province, along with his delegation, Pol. Col. Anek Sarathongyu, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, and Pol. Lt. Col. Prow Onsom, Deputy Inspector (Patrol), Pattaya City Police Station, joined by Royal Volunteer Corps, the Sustainable Subdistrict Operations Team, Community Police Volunteers, Pattaya City Civil Defense Volunteers, and partnering networks, presided over the opening of a Songkran 2025 Public Service Checkpoint.
The Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of integrated cooperation between government agencies, the private sector, and the public in implementing preventive measures. These include setting up checkpoints and service stations, enforcing speed limits, promoting safe driving campaigns such as “Don’t Drink and Drive,” encouraging the use of helmets and seat belts, and ensuring that public transportation services meet safety standards including sufficient rest for drivers and providing services with safety as a top priority.
During the Songkran Festival each year, a large number of people travel back to their hometowns or go on vacation, resulting in heavy traffic congestion and an increased risk of road accidents. Recognizing the importance of protecting the lives and property of citizens, the government has implemented proactive policies and measures to prevent and reduce accidents at the local level in a serious and systematic manner during the 2025 Songkran Festival.

วันที่ 12 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2568 เวลา 10.00 น.ที่ บริเวณหน้า ห้างสรรพสินค้าบิ๊กซี สาขาพัทยาใต้ นายพงศ์สิษฐ์ ปิจนันท์ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดชลบุรี พร้อมคณะ พ.ต.อ.เอนก สระทองอยู่ ผกก.สภ.เมืองพัทยา พ.ต.ต.พราว อ่อนโสม สวป.(ชส.) สภ.เมืองพัทยา จิตอาสาพระราชทานภาคประชาชน ชุดปฏิบัติการตำบลบำบัดอย่างยั่งยืนฯ อาสาสมัครตำรวจชุมชน สภ.เมืองพัทยา อปพร.เมืองพัทยา ว.4 ร่วมกับภาคีเครือข่าย จุดบริการประชาชนช่วงเทศกาลสงกรานต์ 2568 บริเวณหน้า ห้างสรรพสินค้าบิ๊กซี สาขาพัทยาใต้ พร้อมทั้งมอบสิ่งของจำเป็นให้กับเจ้าหน้าที่ที่อยู่ประจำจุด บริการประชาชน
โดยเน้นย้ำการบูรณาการความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐ และเอกชนและภาคประชาชน ในการดำเนินการเชิงป้องกัน เช่น การตั้งจุดตรวจ จุดบริการ การควบคุมความเร็ว การรณรงค์ขับขี่ปลอดภัย ไม่ดื่มแล้วขับ สวมหมวกนิรภัย และคาดเข็มขัดนิรภัย รวมถึงการดูแลรถโดยสารสาธารณะให้ได้มาตรฐาน มีการพักผ่อนของพนักงานที่เพียงพอ และให้บริการด้วยความปลอดภัย จึงเป็นโอกาสอันดีในการช่วยกันรณรงค์สร้างจิตสำนึกกระตุ้นเตือนให้ประชาชนและนักท่องเที่ยว ผู้ใช้รถ ใช้ถนน ในช่วงเทศกาลสงกรานต์ ให้ใช้รถมีน้ำใจ รักษาวินัยจราจร
ซึ่งในช่วงเทศกาสงกรานต์ของทุกปี ถือว่าเป็นช่วงที่ประชาชนจำนวนมากเดินทางกลับภูมิลำเนาและท่องเที่ยว ส่งผลให้มีปริมาณการจราจรหนาแน่น และมีความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดอุบัติเหตุทางถนนเพิ่มมากขึ้น ซึ่งรัฐบาลได้ตระหนักถึงความปลอดภัยในชีวิตและทรัพย์สินของพี่น้องประชาชน จึงได้กำหนดนโยบายและมาตรการเชิงรุกในการป้องกันและลดอุบัติเหตุที่เกิดขึ้นในท้องถิ่นอย่างจริงจังในช่วงเทศกาลสงกรานต์ พ.ศ. 2568 นี้
